Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Mechanical Design Leader in Italy to drive the design and development of automation solutions for eyewear products. You will lead a design team, coordinate timelines with the PMO, and ensure alignment of 3D models, drawings, and BOM.

Ideal candidates have strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or Creo), experience with PDM/PLM (Windchill preferred), and knowledge of industry standards. Italian and English fluency are expected.

Qualifications

• Industrial automation knowledge is required.
• Proficient in CAD tools: SolidWorks or Creo.
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems, Windchill preferred.
• Familiarity with machinery directives and safety standards.
• Understanding of GD&T and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of pneumatic design considerations.
• Basic ROI and payback concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the mechanical design team (up to 10 people).
• Estimate engineering hours and monitor project progress.
• Consult with the PMO on project progress and management.
• Promote technical standardization and innovation with COE Technical Leaders.
• Ensure consistency between 3D models, drawings and BOM.
• Support preliminary design reviews and proof of concept activities.
