EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Head of Logistics Automation to define and drive the global automation strategy across the logistics network. You will lead the development and deployment of automated solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability across facilities worldwide.

The role requires deep expertise in material handling, warehouse automation, and integration with WMS/WCS/ERP systems, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects in international teams.

• Master's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• Proven experience leading large-scale automation projects in logistics and distribution.

Your Role

As Head of Logistics Automation, you will define and drive the global automation strategy across the logistics network. You will lead the development and deployment of automated solutions, driving operational efficiency, scalability, innovation and continuous improvement across logistics facilities worldwide.

Main Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global Logistics Automation roadmap.
• Lead the design and implementation of automated logistics solutions.
• Drive automation projects across greenfield and brownfield facilities.
• Define technical standards, requirements and technology selection.
• Oversee solutions including ASRS, AMR/AGV, shuttle, conveyor and sortation systems.
• Ensure integration between WMS, WCS, ERP and automation systems.
• Monitor automation performance, reliability, throughput and operational KPIs.
• Lead continuous improvement and optimization initiatives.
• Manage relationships with vendors, system integrators and engineering partners.
• Coordinate international, cross-functional teams across Logistics, Engineering, IT and Operations.

Main Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Automation, Electrical or Logistics Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in logistics automation or automated logistics systems.
• Proven experience leading large-scale automation projects in logistics/distribution environments.
• Strong knowledge of automated material handling and warehouse automation.
• Experience with ASRS, shuttle, AMR/AGV, conveyor and sortation systems.
• Knowledge of WCS and industrial automation/control systems.
• Experience in system integration across WMS, WCS, ERP and automation platforms.
• Strong project/program management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with international and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of KNAPP solutions and SAP EWM/WM is a plus.
