Allianz Italia seeks a seasoned underwriting professional to lead the strategy for Property & Liability risks in the Italian market, reporting to the Property Team Leader. You will be the contact for selected agents within the Mid-Corporate team, supporting business development and helping achieve Allianz Mid Corporate targets.

You will ensure underwriting discipline, pricing guidance, and collaboration across Sales, Claims and product lines to drive profitable growth.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics or Law.
• 4–8 years of proven underwriting experience for Property including PD/BI and Theft & Liability for Corporate Clients.
• Preference for multinational client experience.
• Proven leadership skills and risk assessment expertise.
• Solid pricing knowledge and market analysis ability.
• Experience drafting robust wordings and driving underwriting projects.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication skills.
• Fluent Italian and English; ability to work in an international org.
• Proficient in Office 365 and collaboration tools.
• Good data reporting capabilities.

Job Purpose/Role

You will also support the local strategy to ensure the successful achievement of the Allianz Mid Corporate targets.

Job Purpose/Role

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level to drive the achievement of financial targets.
• Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle.
• Work closely with Sales departments, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework.
• Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products
• Support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations)
• Communicate local business strategy externally

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• Master's degree in Engineering or Economics or Law
• 4-8 years proven experience in underwriting profitable Property including both PD/BI and Theft and Liability business for Corporate Clients.
• Preference if also experienced in Multinational clients.
• Proven leadership skills
• Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle.
• Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills
• Ideally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings
• Ideally experience in driving underwriting projects
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work in an international organization.
• Fluent in Italian English (both written and spoken)
• Very good knowledge in Office 365 and other collaborative tools

Pursuant to Article 5(1) of Legislative Decree No. 96 of 7 May 2026, as amended and supplemented from time to time, the range applicable to the position offered is between € 40.000,00 gross and € 50.000,00 gross. Employment will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the National Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies and the applicable Company Agreement. The final determination of the starting remuneration will be based on an evaluation of the candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience in relation to the requirements of the role.
