Allianz Italia seeks an accomplished underwriting professional to lead strategy for Property & Liability risks in Italy. You will liaise with selected agents in the Mid-Corporate team, supporting business development and aligning with local targets.

You will drive pricing, risk assessment and product development in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role requires 9-15 years in profitable Property underwriting for corporate clients, with multinational experience preferred, and fluency

Competenze

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, or Law.
• 9-15 years proven underwriting experience in Property for Corporate Clients, including PD/BI and Theft and Liability.
• Preference for multinational client experience.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Strong pricing knowledge and market analysis.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing wordings.
• Driving underwriting projects experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Excellent command of Office 365 and collaboration tools.
• Data reporting skills.

Job Purpose/Role

Reporting to the Property Team Leader, you will be in charge of developing and executing the strategy for the Property & Liability risks into the Italian market. You will be the contact person for selected agents working with the Mid-Corporate team, supporting them in the business development. You will also support the local strategy to ensure the successful achievement of the Allianz Mid Corporate targets.

Job Purpose/Role

Reporting to the Property Team Leader, you will be in charge of developing and executing the strategy for the Property & Liability risks into the Italian market. You will be the contact person for selected agents working with the Mid-Corporate team, supporting them in the business development. You will also support the local strategy to ensure the successful achievement of the Allianz Mid Corporate targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines.
• Steer and control the portfolio at local level to drive the achievement of financial targets.
• Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle.
• Work closely with Sales departments, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
• Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules and local regulatory framework.
• Proactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products
• Support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including agent and broker negotiations)
• Communicate local business strategy externally

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• Master's degree in Engineering or Economics or Law
• 9-15 years proven experience in underwriting profitable Property including both PD/BI and Theft and Liability business for Corporate Clients.
• Preference if also experienced in Multinational clients.
• Proven leadership skills
• Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle.
• Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills
• Ideally experience in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings
• Ideally experience in driving underwriting projects
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work in an international organization.
• Fluent in Italian English (both written and spoken)
• Very good knowledge in Office 365 and other collaborative tools

Pursuant to Article 5(1) of Legislative Decree No. 96 of 7 May 2026, as amended and supplemented from time to time, the range applicable to the position offered is between € 50.000,00 gross and € 65.000,00 gross. Employment will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the National Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies and the applicable Company Agreement. The final determination of the starting remuneration will be based on an evaluation of the candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience in relation to the requirements of the role.
