A leading railway company in Verona is seeking an experienced technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on trains. Responsibilities include verifying train status, ensuring fleet reliability, and adhering to safety standards. Candidates should possess a diploma of maturity, ideally with technical expertise in Mechanical, IT, or Electronics, along with relevant maintenance experience. This role offers a permanent or fixed-term contract based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify the status of the train on arrival at the depot; identify faults and malfunctions; perform preventive and corrective maintenance; ensure the availability and reliability of the fleet in accordance with required safety and quality standards.
• Ensure the proper functioning of train equipment.
• Respect the delivery date of orders.
• Use certified and appropriate tools for each intervention.
• Update the database that collects information on the most relevant faults.
• Inform the team daily about the status of activities.
• Respect health, safety and railway safety procedures and regulations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service offered to the customer and the travel experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma of maturity (mandatory), preferably Technical Technician (Mechanical, IT, Electronics).
• Experience in maintenance activities, preferably in the railway sector.
• Possession of ANSF certifications (National Railway Safety Authority) to operate on the train safety components (preferred).

Purpose of the Job

To verify trains on arrival to the depot, close all opened orders and assure the availability and reliability of the fleet.

Measurement

• Reliability, availability and punctuality (other KPIs relevant to contract).
• KPIs on fleet health, e.g. Service Order Close-out (real time).
• Customer feedback (e.g. customer annual survey).

Additional Responsibilities

• Ensure troubleshooting on trains according to state-of-the-art methods and best practices.
• Ensure validity and certification of relevant tools.
• Populate relevant failure database (Railsys System).
• Guarantee information flow within the troubleshooting team.
• Contribute to reliability growth and sharing of field experience.
• Respect EHS rules and any work-related processes.

Contract type

Permanent contract or fixed-term contract - based on candidate experience.
