The Social Hub in Firenze is seeking a Maintenance Technician to fix, maintain and safeguard our hotel’s everyday operations. You’ll work with the Maintenance Manager, handling plumbing, lighting, locks, and preventative checks to keep guests and students comfortable and safe.

You’ll be hands-on, independent, and proactive, thriving in a fast-paced, hybrid hospitality environment. Italian fluency and a practical mindset are essential; previous hospitality maintenance experience is preferred,

Competenze

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong hands-on technical skills and practical problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent Italian language skills and a customer-friendly attitude.

Mansioni

• Handle day-to-day maintenance issues across the hotel, from plumbing and lighting to locks and small repairs.
• Complete daily walkarounds and keep indoor and outdoor areas safe and presentable.
• Carry out preventative maintenance checks to spot issues early.
• Tackle minor painting and cosmetic fixes when needed.
• Support external contractors when specialist work is required.
• Monitor stock levels for tools and parts.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with ad hoc tasks as needed.

WhatYou’llDo

• Handle day-to-day maintenance issues across the hotel, from plumbing and lighting to locks and small repairs
• Complete daily walkarounds and keep indoor and outdoor areas clean, safe, and looking sharp
• Carry out preventative maintenance checks to spot issues before they become problems
• Tackle minor painting and cosmetic fixes when things need a refresh
• Support and coordinate external contractors when specialist work is needed
• Keep an eye on stock levels for tools, materials, and spare parts
• Jump in on ad hoc tasks and support the Maintenance Manager whenrequired

WhatYou’llHave

• You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally in hospitality
• You bring strong hands-on technical skills and enjoy fixing things yourself
• You stay calm under pressure and like solving problems on the spot
• You work independently but enjoy being part of a close-knit team
• You’reflexible with tasks, schedules, and changing priorities
• You speak Italian fluently
• You bring a positive, professional, and guest-friendly attitude to everything you do
