Saipem, a global leader in engineering and construction for energy and infrastructure, seeks a Maintenance Engineering Specialist for its Energy Carriers division in Milan. The role focuses on plant reliability, equipment criticality, and maintenance planning to ensure design safety from operation viewpoints.

The successful candidate will liaise with clients, partners, and the project team, report on maintenance assessments, and support CMMS loading templates and RCM-based strategies.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• English level B2/C1.
• Some travelling within EMEA.

Mansioni

• Review project technical documentation against contractual requirements.
• Build plant asset register with maintainable equipment (MEL).Organise MEL by functional location and assess operability/maintainability.
• Support mechanical handling assessment.
• Perform Equipment Criticality Analysis (ECA) for safety, environment, production.
• Develop maintenance strategies, procedures, and CMMS loading templates.

As Maintenance Engineering Specialist you will respond to the Maintenance Engineering Lead and be part of the Energy Carriers Business Line within EPC Maintenance and Inspection Engineering Department.

Job includes plant reliability analysis, equipment criticality assessment and maintenance plan development. Scope of the work involves activities ranging from acknowledging of process-related conditions and evaluating the equipment detail design. Maintenance Engineering Specialist (MES) is to make sure that the project detailed design is safe and sound from an operation and maintenance point of view, complies with the international standards and meet the requirements arising from contract and technical specification therein referred to.

In performing his job, the MES is liaising with client representatives, partners, suppliers and project team.

MES regularly reports to the Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance manager the status of the Maintenance Engineering assessment, highlighting areas of concern.

How can you support us?

• supporting the maintenance engineering lead in reviewing the project technical documentation in respect to the contractual requirements,


• gathering of maintenance related design data from technical disciplines and vendors to build‑up a comprehensive plant asset register which includes all the maintainable equipment,


• preparation of Maintainable Equipment List (MEL) hierarchically organized by functional location which in turn refer to physical asset; operability and maintainability review,


• support mechanical handling assessment,


• equipment criticality analysis (ECA) to rank item listed in MEL in view of safety, environment and production requirement,


• maintenance strategies, procedures, and tasks according to either the original equipment manufacturer data or the results of the performed Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis; operational performance standard preparation; CMMS loading templates preparation

Education: Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar qualification

Experience: 5+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry

Languages: English level B2/C1

What else should you know? Some travelling will be expected within EMEA, Africa, etc
