Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking a Microsoft 365 Migration & Identity Specialist for our Milan-based team. You will lead tenant-to-tenant migrations across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, and collaborate with architects and delivery teams on secure, compliant transitions.

You will deepen expertise in Entra ID and identity governance, optimize licensing, and support Copilot readiness, while delivering clear technical documentation and runbooks to customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity synchronization, federation, identity governance, and access management.
• Hands-on experience with migration tools such as Quest On Demand Migration, Migration Manager, BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate, or similar.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing models (E3, E5, Business Premium, add-ons).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, Defender, Purview, and Conditional Access.
• Experience supporting Copilot readiness, governance, and user enablement.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and migrations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end tenant-to-tenant migrations across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Design migration strategy, coexistence planning, and cutover execution.
• Manage and troubleshoot identity and directory-related challenges including Entra ID, domain consolidation, federation, identity mapping, and user lifecycle management.
• Utilize migration platforms to deliver secure and efficient migration projects.
• Assess and optimise Microsoft 365 licensing models for cost efficiency, compliance, and alignment with business requirements.
• Implement and support Microsoft 365 security solutions, including Conditional Access, Identity Protection, DLP, and Defender technologies.
• Support Microsoft Copilot adoption and governance with best-practice guidance.
• Produce migration runbooks, technical documentation, and handover materials.
