Job summary

SoftwareOne seeks a Microsoft 365 Migration & Identity Specialist in Milan. You will lead tenant-to-tenant migrations across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, ensuring secure identity governance and seamless transitions.

You will work with customers, architects, and delivery teams to design complex migration strategies while maintaining compliance and minimizing disruption. You will support licensing optimization, Defender and Purview security, and Copilot readiness, employing PowerShell

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including identity governance and access management.
• Hands-on with migration tools such as Quest On Demand Migration, Migration Manager, BitTitan MigrationWiz or ShareGate.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing models (E3, E5, Business Premium) and security capabilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview, DLP, and Conditional Access policies.
• Familiarity with Copilot readiness, governance and user enablement initiatives.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and migrations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end tenant-to-tenant Microsoft 365 migrations across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Design migration plans, coexistence strategies, and cutover execution with minimal business disruption.
• Troubleshoot identity and directory-related challenges (Entra ID, federation, domain consolidation).
• Utilize migration platforms to deliver secure and efficient migration projects.
• Assess and optimize Microsoft 365 licensing models to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
• Support Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness and governance with best-practice guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration timelines and produce technical docs and runbooks.

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 Migration & Identity Specialist with hands‑on experience delivering tenant-to-tenant migration projects and deep expertise in identity, access management, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. In this customer‑facing role, you will work closely with customers, architects, and delivery teams to design and execute complex migration strategies, ensuring secure, compliant, and seamless transitions with minimal business disruption.

KeyResponsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end tenant-to-tenant Microsoft 365 migrationsacross Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams, including migration strategy design, coexistence planning, and cutover execution
• Manage and troubleshoot identity and directory-related challenges, including Entra ID (Azure AD), domain consolidation, federation, identity mapping, and user lifecycle management
• Utilize QuestOnDemand Migration, Migration Manager, or equivalent migration platforms to deliver secure and efficient migration projects
• Assess andoptimizeMicrosoft 365 licensing models to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and alignment with business requirements
• Implement and support Microsoft 365 security solutions, including Conditional Access, Identity Protection, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Microsoft Defender technologies
• Support Microsoft Copilot adoption and governancewhileprovidingbest-practice guidance to customers and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies, while producing technical documentation, migration runbooks, operational handover materials, and best-practice guidance for customers and internal teams

What we need to see from you

• Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams environments
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity synchronization, federation, identity governance, and access management
• Hands-on experience with migration tools such as Quest On Demand Migration, Migration Manager, BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate, or similar platforms
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing models, including E3, E5, Business Premium, add-ons, and advanced security capabilities
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, including Microsoft Defender, Purview (Compliance, DLP, eDiscovery), and Conditional Access policies
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, data security, governance, and user enablement initiatives
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and migrations
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer engagement
