Job summary

Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, seeks a polished Front Office Intern to be the communications hub of the property, managing the switchboard and ensuring a flawless first impression. You will support the Front Desk with guest registration, pre-arrival checks, data entry in the PMS, and coordinate with Concierge, Housekeeping, and Room Service in a luxury setting in Taormina, Sicily.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a hospitality, communications, or languages program.
• Outstanding telephone manners with a warm, sophisticated tone.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Fluency in Italian and English; third language proficiency is preferred.
• Familiarity with hospitality software such as Opera PMS.

Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel Switchboard with professionalism, handling calls per luxury standards.
• Route calls and log messages or guest requests to the correct departments.
• Assist Front Desk with guest registration, pre-arrival checks, and PMS data entry.
• Coordinate effectively during emergencies following safety protocols.
• Maintain a pristine workspace and professional demeanor at all times.
