Montessori School of Rome is seeking a caring Lower Elementary Assistant Guide to support a thriving classroom community and help students develop independence, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning in grades 1-3.

You will collaborate with the Lead Guide and teachers, maintain a prepared learning environment, supervise transitions, and engage families to support each child's academic and social growth.

Competenze

  • Experience or strong interest in Montessori education and child-centered learning.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to create a nurturing, engaging learning environment for grades 1-3.

Mansioni

  • Support the Lead Guide in implementing Montessori lessons and maintaining a prepared learning environment.

Lower Elementary Assistant Teacher/Guide

Position: TLower Elementary Assistant Teacher/Guide (Grades 1-3)

Are you passionate about working with children and inspired by the Montessori approach to education? Montessori School of Rome is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Lower Elementary Assistant Guide to support a thriving classroom community and help students develop independence, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

What You'll Do
  • Support the Lead Guide in implementing Montessori lessons and maintaining a prepared learning environment.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with students and guide them with patience, consistency, and encouragement.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom that fosters independence and collaboration.
  • Assist students as they work independently and in small groups while encouraging responsibility and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student's academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assist with classroom routines, materials preparation, record keeping, and daily operations.
  • Supervise students during transitions, outdoor play, lunch, and other school activities as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
