Job summary

PEOPLE is seeking a Logistics Team Leader Inbound for our Rovigo site. You will lead inbound operations, manage a warehouse team, monitor KPIs and ensure compliant scheduling and budgeting. The role blends operational and administrative oversight in a fast-paced retail logistics environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years leading warehouse teams, strong WMS knowledge and English at least B1/B2 level, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Proven experience in managing warehouse operations.
• Minimum 3 years leading and developing warehouse teams.
• Strong knowledge of inbound logistics processes and WMS.
• Experience with KPI monitoring, performance analysis and budgeting.
• Good command of IT tools and English (B1/B2).

Responsibilities

• Ensure an efficient and well-organised inbound flow from operational and administrative perspectives.
• Staff the department with required numbers and competencies.
• Oversee daily operational warehouse tasks.
• Provide regular feedback to the Department Manager.
• Lead inbound operations, performance management and attendance meetings.

Job description

For a new logistics site of an important international company operating in the Retail sector, we are looking for a Logistic Team Leader Inbound who will be responsible to provide an efficient and well-organised inbound flow from both operational and administrative perspectives.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Reporting directly to the Department Manager Inbound, the candidate will:

• Ensure an efficient and well-organised inbound flow from both operational and administrative perspectives.
• Ensure the department is staffed with the required number of employees with the appropriate qualifications and competencies.
• Ensure daily execution of operational warehouse tasks.
• Provide regular, timely and objective feedback to the Department Manager.
• Take responsibility for daily operations in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Promote employee engagement and motivation.
• Participate in continuous improvement of operational and administrative processes.
• Monitor KPIs and employees' daily performance.
• Set clear goals and follow up on execution.
• Ensure an efficient Inbound operation.
• Lead inbound operations, performance management, absence meetings, employee dialogues, goal setting and vacation planning.
• Prepare and update team schedules in compliance with labour legislation.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the immediate manager.
• Report relevant operational information and improvement opportunities to management.

SKILLS

• degree or Diploma, preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields;
• proven experience in managing warehouse operations;
• previous experience of at least 3 years in leading and developing warehouse teams;
• strong knowledge of inbound logistics processes and warehouse management operations;
• experience in KPI monitoring, performance analysis, and budget management;
• good knowledge of IT tools and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS);
• good command of the English language (B1/B2).
