Job summary

Allianz in Italy seeks a Liability & Environmental Impairment Liability underwriter to shape risk strategy for the Italian market and align with Mid Corporate targets.

You will collaborate with Liability Team, Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims and product lines to drive profitable growth, ensure pricing integrity, and support new product initiatives in a global insurer.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law or Economics.
• 3–5 years of proven underwriting experience in liability for corporate clients.
• Preference for PI/D&O/Cyber/Legal Expenses & multinational clients.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Data analytics and Office 365 proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing and rating guidelines
• Steer and control the local portfolio to meet financial targets
• Liaise with functional areas to review end-to-end underwriting performance
• Collaborate with Sales, Risk Consulting, Claims, and other product lines for marketing strategies and cross-selling
• Maintain underwriting consistency and adherence to corporate guidelines and local regulations
• Support development and implementation of new or modified products
• Assist in acquiring new business and retaining existing business (including agent/broker negotiations)
• Communicate local business strategy externally
