Lean Specialist: Plantwide CI & Operational Excellence

Job summary

Vertiv Lean Specialist will support the deployment of Lean Manufacturing across three production plants in Udine. You will lead continuous improvement on the shop floor and train teams on 5S, VSM, TPM, SMED and Standard Work.

You will monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks and support root-cause analysis, contributing to better productivity, quality, and lead time. Role covers lean activities across all plants; Time & Methods outside scope.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred.
• Around 5 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing or similar role preferred.
• Good knowledge of Lean tools such as P-FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, PDCA and Kaizen.
• Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably metal fabrication/welding/assembly.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Lean workshops on the shop floor.
• Support deployment of the Vertiv Operations System (VOS) roadmap.
• Train teams on Lean methodologies including 5S, VSM, TPM, SMED and Standard Work.
• Monitor production KPIs and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality and lead time.
• Identify process bottlenecks and support root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
• Support FMEA activities in collaboration with R&D.
• Contribute to improvements in production layouts, tools, jigs and line organisation.
• Prepare reports to track the effectiveness of improvement actions.
