Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design delivery for Europe’s data centre projects. You will coordinate closely with electrical teams, guide engineers, and lead client-facing activities to ensure high-quality, resilient mechanical systems across cooling, ventilation, and automation.

You will influence building physics, CFD-informed design, and sustainable solutions within Ramboll's Buildings department, contributing to complex, high-profile

Qualifications

• Experience in mission critical systems or data centre projects.
• Proven track record in leading mechanical design delivery.
• Accredited engineering degree and ongoing professional registration.
• Active pursuit or attainment of IEng/CEng status desired.
• Strong communication and ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Experience with digital and parametric design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering deliverables for Datacentre projects and coordinate with electrical teams.
• Guide and review work of junior engineers and coordinate cross-discipline tasks.
• Produce detailed designs and supervise production activities.
• Maintain strong client relationships and manage delivery timelines.
• Coordinate resources and ensure deadlines are met across disciplines.
