Baker Hughes in Italy seeks a Lead Materials Planner for a 12-month maternity cover. You will collaborate with regional sales and operations to develop 12-18 month forecasts and translate demand plans into orders, driving the S&OP process.

You will optimize inventory, monitor safety stock, coordinate with Product Line and Service Delivery, and implement make-to-stock / make-to-order strategies while aligning with asset and spare-parts planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field; 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in order management, inventory optimization and asset utilization.
• Proficient in SAP and MRP functionality.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and work strategically.
• Strong analytical and planning skills for S&OP processes.

Responsabilités

• Create regional forecasts (12-18 months) and global forecasts with region sales and operations.
• Convert demand plans into orders and understand business trends impacting demand forecast.
• Assist in executing and driving S&OP consistency.
• Analyze incoming demand and identify order exceptions and inventory opportunities.
• Plan and schedule order timelines to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs.
• Prioritize deliver dates with Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery (push outs/pull ins).
• Perform material management analysis (consumption, aging inventory, aged PO, in-transit material, safety stock).
• Implement inventory stocking strategies.
• Monitor safety stock levels and aging inventory; address with regions and plants.
• Coordinate with AMO to capture spare parts and asset demands.
• Ensure new assets and spares are captured in the S&OP process.
• Assist lifecycle management for new/obsolete products within S&OP.
• Support MTS, MTO, CTO and ETO implementation in the S&OP process.

The key responsibilities of the Lead Materials Planner may include the following as well as other items required to execute the role.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Working with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 mo) and global forecasts
• Working with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders. Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast.
• Assisting in the execution and drives consistency of the S&OP process.
• Analyzing incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
• Planning and schedules order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs
• Working with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins)
• Performing various material management analysis such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged PO, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.
• Implementing inventory stocking strategies
• Monitoring levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory and works with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly
• Working with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured
• Working to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process
• Assisting with product life cycle management for new and obsolete products to ensure they are incorporated into the S&OP process
• Assisting in driving product line make to stock (MTS), make to order (MTO), configure to order (CTO) and engineer to order (ETO) standards are implemented in the S&OP process

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience (5+ years’ experience
• Experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality
• Ability to work with and influence stakeholders
• Strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of urgency

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 43,600 To 70,000.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI - Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay
