Baker Hughes Company in Italy is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist - Production Planning & Scheduling to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover.

You will collaborate with regional sales, operations, and manufacturing plants to forecast, plan, and optimize inventory and delivery dates, using SAP and MRP. The role emphasizes end-to-end scheduling, material management, and alignment with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field; 5+ years’ experience.
• Experience in order management, inventory optimization and asset utilization.
• Knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with region sales and operations to create regional and global forecasts (12-18 months).
• Translate demand plans into physical orders with sales and operations teams.
• Analyze business trends and how they impact demand forecast.
• Support S&OP process and ensure consistency in execution.
• Assess and optimize inventory, aging stock, and PO performance.
• Plan order timelines to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs.
• Coordinate with Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates.
• Monitor safety stock and inventory aging across regions and plants.
• Capture spare parts and asset demands with AMO; support new asset lifecycle in S&OP process.
• Contribute to make-to-stock/make-to-order/engineer-to-order strategy within S&OP.

This is maternity cover; the contract will last 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 mo) and global forecasts
• Working with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders.
• Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast.
• Assisting in the execution and drives consistency of the S&OP process.
• Analyzing incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
• Planning and schedules order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs
• Working with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins)
• Performing various material management analysis such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged PO, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.
• Implementing inventory stocking strategies
• Monitoring levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory and works with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly
• Working with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured
• Working to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process
• Assisting with product life cycle management for new and obsolete products to ensure they are incorporated into the S&OP process
• Assisting in driving product line make to stock (MTS), make to order (MTO), configure to order (CTO) and engineer to order (ETO) standards are implemented in the S&OP process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience (5+ years’ experience
• Experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality
• Ability to work with and influence stakeholders
• Strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of urgency

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 43,600 To 70,000.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
