Baker Hughes in Italy is seeking a Sourcing Professional to join our Direct Material team. You will help develop long-term procurement strategies and lead supplier negotiations to ensure cost efficiency, quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term procurement strategies for the assigned commodity.
• Align commodity strategies with product leadership, sales, engineering and manufacturing objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, development and negotiations with cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate purchase orders to optimize cost, quality and schedule.
• Drive cost-out initiatives and cash-flow improvements.
• Coordinate with S&OP data to balance supplier capacity with business goals.

The Buyer for Direct Material(Sourcing Professional) contributes toprocurement strategy for his/her product and execute order placement and agreements with suppliers supporting business KPIs.

The Buyer for Direct Material(Sourcing Professional)is responsible for:

• Contribute to developand executelong term strategies for the assigned commodity, ensuring best performance for procurement KPI
• Integrate commodity strategies into product leadership,sales,engineering,and manufacturingobjectives.
• Deal with New Product Development, driving supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management with support of engineering,sales,productleadershipandotherprocurementteamin accordance withthe business strategy
• Partner and be a point of reference for Product Leadership,SalesandEngineering for product strategy of the assigned commodity
• Develop negotiation strategies and leading negotiations to achieve stated goals andobjectivesof supply chain for Single PO as well as Strategic Partnership
• Negotiate and issue purchase orders with suppliers achieving lowestpossible costfor material, balanced againstoptimumquality and schedule needs
• DevelopProcurementinitiatives for cost out program, deflation, cycle reduction, BVCProcurementand cash flow improvement (e.g.rebate, payment terms)
• Leverage S&OP data to match andoptimizesupplier capacity with business goals

• Have a Bachelor’s/Masterdegree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or Economic with experience inprocurement or commodity management
• Have entry-level experiencein Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain is nice to have
• Be fluent in English and Italian, both in writing and speaking
• Possess excellent communication and influencing skills
• Have analytical mindset with a proven ability to resolve problems andidentifysolutions
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Be ableto document, plan, market, and execute programs
