Hill International is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical systems for an offshore oil and gas complex in Libya. The project will be managed from Milan and requires the right to work in Italy.

You will design and supervise electrical systems, review SLDs and equipment, perform studies, and ensure compliance with industry standards across design, construction, commissioning and operations.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years of experience in electrical engineering for oil & gas.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Deep knowledge of electrical design for oil & gas environments (onshore/offshore).
• Familiarity with hazardous area classification and equipment selection.
• Experience with electrical system modeling software (ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT).
• Knowledge of electrical protection, grounding, lighting, and lightning protection.
• Strong analytical, coordination and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Review and approve design electrical power distribution systems (LV, MV, HV).
• Review SLDs, load lists, cable schedules, grounding and lighting layouts.
• Review and approve equipment (transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, batteries, motors).
• Perform electrical system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination).
• Ensure IEC/NEC/IEEE/API/NEMA/ATEX compliance.
