Moneyfarm is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to own the architecture and delivery of the Partners backend platform across European partnerships. You will drive complex integrations with banks and financial providers, design robust APIs, and mentor backend engineers within a cross‑functional team.

You will work with Java or Go on AWS with CI/CD pipelines, leveraging AI-assisted development to craft scalable, secure services for Moneyfarm’s B2B2C partnerships across Europe.

Competenze

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Deep expertise in Java or Go, with ability to work across the stack.
• Hands-on experience using agentic AI tools in development workflows.
• Product engineering mindset enabled by AI for autonomous problem solving.
• Proven experience designing, building and integrating distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of architecture patterns: fault tolerance, scalability, security, data quality.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred): ECS/EKS, RDS/Aurora, CI/CD pipelines.
• Track record of leading projects from start to finish; capable of reducing complexity and shipping reliably.
• Experience in regulated financial services environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with B2B integration: API gateways, batch processing, data reconciliation.
• Excellent communication to align stakeholders and lead technical discussions.
• Demonstrated mentorship ability for engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Italian language proficiency is advantageous.
