JD Logistics is expanding its Italian operation and seeks an organized, process-driven frontline supervisor for the returns processing zone. You will lead a team of returns processing operators, enforce grading criteria, and ensure rapid and valuable recovery of returned inventory.

Responsibilities include managing hourly throughput, system status alignment, and strict adherence to safety and floor discipline on a high-volume reverse logistics floor.

• Verified background as a team leader in high-volume reverse logistics environments.
• Experience leading 20+ operators on the warehouse floor.
• Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory; Mandarin is a plus.

Context of the Position

As part of our strategic international expansion, JD Logistics is establishing its core infrastructure within the Italian market. This is a critical greenfield deployment phase, which requires our founding leadership team to manage high operational fluidity, establish local processes from the ground up, and translate centralized global capabilities into localized execution.

This position is designed for an organized, process-driven frontline operational leader who excels on the warehouse floor. The role demands an execution-focused supervisor who can manage teams of returns processing operators, enforce precise product grading criteria, and maintain an organized, clutter-free reverse logistics environment.

The Mission & Core Scope

• The Mission: Lead, motivate, and direct daily reverse shift operations (returns intake, item inspection, quality grading, and system registration) to ensure returned inventory is processed rapidly and channeled to its next destination with maximum value recovery.
• The Scope: You will take direct, hands-on floor responsibility for the returns processing zone and its personnel, tracking hourly processing throughput, resolving system-status mismatches, and enforcing compliance.

Crucial Expectations & Performance Targets

To provide a clear understanding of the accountability required, the successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key metrics during the initial 6 to 12 months:

• Hourly Processing & Grading Throughput: Successfully manage shift execution to meet or exceed target metrics for processed return units, keeping returns backlogs and station congestion to an absolute minimum.
• Grading Accuracy & Quality Control: Enforce strict compliance with our corporate product-grading matrices, ensuring operators correctly identify resellable stock, damaged goods, or warranty items, thereby minimizing inventory errors.
• Frontline Labor and Safety Management: Oversee real-time operator allocation across unpacking, inspecting, and repacking stations, tracking attendance, and ensuring full compliance with warehouse safety protocols.
• Clean-Floor & Sorting Discipline: Maintain a highly structured, organized work area, ensuring processed items are structurally segregated, palletized, and routed to the correct destination (put-away, refurbishment, or liquidation) instantly.

Position Requirements

• Greenfield Launch Expertise: You must have a verified background of acting as a team leader, returns coordinator, or senior supervisor within a high-volume e-commerce reverse logistics center, returns processing department, or technical refurbishment hub during a site launch or major peak season.
• Frontline Floor Mastery: Proven experience leading fast-paced teams of industrial operators (20+ workers) and deep familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), data logging, item disposition codes, and RF barcode scanning equipment.
• Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English and Italian is mandatory to ensure clear operational alignment with international management and fluent direction of local floor staff. Knowledge of Mandarin is a valuable asset.
• Operational Flexibility: High adaptability regarding shift structures and changing operational priorities as inbound returns volumes fluctuate during post-peak cycles.
