Zusammenfassung

Wabtec is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead laboratory operations and validation activities for Bogie Brake products. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work with engineering, production, suppliers and customers to ensure tests are completed on time and in compliance with quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, has hands-on testing and metrology experience, familiarity with ISO 17025, and is fluent in Italian and English.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in laboratory, validation or testing activities.
• Experience managing resources and budgets.
• Knowledge of metrology.
• Experience with laboratory accreditations and international standards, including ISO 17025.
• Fluent Italian and English.

Aufgaben

• Manage daily laboratory operations and testing activities.
• Plan and coordinate validation tests.
• Manage laboratory resources, priorities and budget.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and accreditation requirements.
• Support test bench verification and maintenance activities.
• Review and approve test reports.
• Work with internal teams, suppliers and external laboratories.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory organization and 5S standards.
