Wabtec Corporation in Camisano (CR) is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead laboratory operations and validation activities for Bogie Brake products, ensuring tests are on time, within budget and aligned with quality standards.

You will manage test benches, support equipment maintenance, review test reports, and collaborate with engineering, quality, production and external laboratories; fluent Italian and English required.

Who will you be working with?

You will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production and Project teams, as well as suppliers, external laboratories and customers. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

How will you make a difference?

As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for managing laboratory operations and validation activities for Bogie Brake products and applications. You will ensure that testing activities are completed on time, within budget and according to quality requirements. You will also support the maintenance and continuous improvement of laboratory equipment and test benches.

What will your typical day look like?

• Manage daily laboratory operations and testing activities.
• Plan and coordinate validation tests.
• Manage laboratory resources, priorities and budget.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and accreditation requirements.
• Support test bench verification and maintenance activities.
• Review and approve test reports.
• Work with internal teams, suppliers and external laboratories.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory organization and 5S standards.

What do we want to know about you?

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in laboratory, validation or testing activities.
• Experience managing resources and budgets.
• Knowledge of metrology.
• Experience with laboratory accreditations and international standards, including ISO 17025.
• Fluent Italian and English.

• The current salary for this role ranges from €41,200 to €54,600. The actual salary offered to the candidate may be influenced by various factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The base salary range is subject to change and may be reviewed in the future.
