Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a self-motivated Junior Test & Validation Engineer based in Naples, Italy. The role blends office work with on-board testing across metro, tram, and train programs, operating in an international environment.

The successful candidate will define test procedures, conduct validations, and collaborate with design, RAMS, and safety teams to ensure timely delivery of validated vehicles meeting customer requirements. English fluency is required, and night shifts may be involved.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Automation/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel worldwide and work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Define Routine and Type Test Procedures, Test Plans and Test programs.
• Manage validation activities on vehicles per Engineering, Homologation and company processes.
• Interface with Design Engineering, manufacturing, RAMS and Safety teams.
• Deliver validation reports and ensure vehicles meet Customer requirements per schedule.
