Job summary

LuxExperience is hiring a Junior Product Editor – English to join our Studio in Milan on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will craft editorial product copy for NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER, reflecting each brand’s distinctive identity and inspiring customers.

Working hours are 40 per week (4 days in office, 1 day remote). The role requires native English writing and a degree in Journalism/English/Fashion, with experience in luxury fashion or digital publishing.

Qualifications

• Degree level in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Fashion or related.
• Experience writing editorial or product copy in luxury fashion or ecommerce.
• Strong knowledge of designers, fabrics and fashion trends.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate, engaging and editorially driven product descriptions for NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER across Womenswear and Menswear.
• Produce copy reflecting each brand's tone while ensuring factual accuracy and consistency.
• Research brands, collections, fabrics and product details for informative copy.
• Collaborate with Details & Care, Buying, Production and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to editorial guidelines, tone of voice and best practices.
• Participate in brand training and team initiatives to support improvements.

About the Role

To support our Studio team in Milan, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Product Editor – English to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will bring the world of luxury fashion to life through engaging, accurate and editorially driven product copy for NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER. Working closely with physical products and collaborating with teams across the business, you will help deliver compelling product descriptions that reflect each brand’s distinctive identity, inspire customers and enhance their shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Write accurate, engaging and editorially driven product descriptions for NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER across Womenswear and Menswear, working with physical products to meet daily publishing deadlines.
• Produce copy that reflects each brand's distinct tone of voice while ensuring factual accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.
• Research brands, collections, fabrics and product details to create informative, customer-focused copy.
• Work closely with Details & Care, Buying, Production and other cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of editorial guidelines, tone of voice and best practices.
• Participate in brand training, creative workshops and team initiatives to support continuous learning and process improvements.

Key Requirements

• A native English speaker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an excellent command of spelling, grammar and style.
• Educated to degree level in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Fashion or a related discipline.
• Previous experience writing editorial or product copy, ideally within luxury fashion, e-commerce or digital publishing.
• Passionate about luxury fashion, with strong knowledge of designers, seasonal collections, garment construction, fabrics and industry trends.
• Highly organized, with excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and content management systems, with experience using PIM or CMS platforms advantageous, and meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality copy that enhances the customer experience.

Starting annual gross base salary: €24.300. Final compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications and objective, gender-neutral criteria applied during the selection process. Collective Bargaining Agreement: CCNL Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi (Commercio).
