AlpineStandards S.r.l. in Milan is seeking a junior marketer and sales apprentice to join a small, mission-driven team. You will report to the CEO and learn on the job while taking ownership of key channels.
Role blends 70% marketing and DTC with 30% support to our commercial network. You’ll handle Shopify pages, newsletters, CRM, content shoots in the mountains, and events, while developing your own ideas to drive growth.
AlpineStandards makes technical apparel for alpinism and ski mountaineering. Designed in the Italian Alps. Ayas for the mountains, Milan for the desks.
We are a Benefit Corporation, members of 1% for the Planet, currently going through B Corp certification. We are also a handful of people and a very long to-do list.
We're hiring a junior for marketing and sales. You'll report directly to the CEO, which in a company this size mostly means sitting next to him.
You practise mountain sports. Alpinism, climbing, ski mountaineering, skiing. Regularly, and by your own choice.
This is not a lifestyle detail and it is not a nice-to-have. We test our products in the field. We talk to people who will use them in conditions where the product matters. You cannot sell this, or write about it, from a desk.
If you climbed indoors twice in 2024, this is not the job.
Everything else below is negotiable. This is not.
Roughly 70% marketing and DTC, 30% support to our commercial network.
These will become yours. You will not be thrown at them on day one: we will walk you through the platforms and the processes, and you will be supported while you learn them. But you will be expected to learn fast and to take them over.
These you will run together with us, from the start:
And then there is room for your own ideas on lead generation and customer satisfaction. That is the part that will shape how you grow here.
We work like a rope team. Nobody gets left behind. You get belayed when you need it, and you will need it, especially in the first months.
The other half is less comfortable. On a rope team nobody is a passenger. You check your own gear, you read the conditions, you carry your share. If you wait to be told, the rope goes slack and everyone notices.
We are a startup. The company changes shape every few months and the job changes with it. Decisions get made with less information than anyone would like. We prefer to move, be wrong, and correct, over waiting to be certain.
This is a good job. It is not a comfortable one.
The company is growing faster than the people in it, which is the normal condition of a startup and also the interesting part.
This is an apprenticeship contract with a structured three-year path. After the first year we choose a direction together: commercial, or brand and digital. The two routes come with different compensation structures. We will put the numbers on the table at the interview, not after.
