Job summary

RINA is seeking a Junior Marine Noise & Vibration Engineer on a maternity cover basis to join its La Spezia office within the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Division. The role focuses on evaluating noise and vibration on board vessels, contributing to measurements, data analysis, and compliance with IMO, IACS, RINA and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in Naval Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Internships, thesis or academic projects in naval engineering, acoustics, vibrations, testing or measurements are a plus.
• Good knowledge of mechanics, vibrations and/or acoustics.

Responsibilities

• Support noise and vibration measurements on board vessels during inspections and sea trials.
• Assist collection, processing and analysis of measurement data.
• Support identification of noise/vibration sources and technical issues.
• Contribute to vessels' assessment against IMO, IACS, RINA and ISO requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and measurement records.
