Job summary

RINA is seeking a Junior Marine Noise & Vibration Engineer for a maternity cover in La Spezia to evaluate noise and vibration levels on maritime vessels and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will support measurements, data analysis, and technical reporting while working with an experienced team.

The role suits a recent graduate with an interest in naval engineering, acoustics and shipboard testing, with opportunities to travel and participate in sea trials.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in Naval Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanics, vibrations and/or acoustics.
• Good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Support noise and vibration measurements on board vessels, including sea trials and inspections.
• Assist in the collection, processing and analysis of measurement data.
• Support the identification of noise and vibration sources and potential issues.
• Contribute to the assessment of vessels against IMO, IACS, RINA and ISO requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and measurement records.
• Collaborate with shipyards, shipowners and other technical teams during inspections and sea trials.
• Develop knowledge of marine noise and vibration assessment methodologies and regulations.
