Mermec is seeking a Junior Hardware Engineer to own the complete hardware design of digital and analog boards in Campodoro, Italy. You will guide concepts through production, including schematics, layout, prototyping and verification, working with cross-functional teams.

The role involves VHDL/Verilog design for FPGA, C/C++ for SoC/microprocessors, and collaboration across hardware, firmware, and software disciplines. Strong documentation and travel readiness are expected.

Competenze

• Engineering degree in Electronics/Mechatronics or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing electronics schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience with PCB design tools (Altium preferred).
• Experience with laboratory instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
• Knowledge of EMC design for hardware is a plus.

Mansioni

• Define hardware specifications and detailed requirements for electronic boards; design schematics and PCB layouts.
• Design and develop test hardware and procedures to validate hardware functionality; prototype and verify designs.
• Maintain, debug and redesign existing projects; manage components library.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware and software engineers to define higher-level system designs.
• Interface with EMS during prototyping and production phases.
