RINA is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Engineer to join the Operating Engine Division in Genoa or Rome. The role requires a technical degree and up to 5 years’ experience; strong security fundamentals are essential.

Candidates should be able to travel within Italy and abroad and collaborate on security design, documentation, and implementation. The position includes a base gross salary of €30,000–€36,000 annually plus variable compensation, dependent on performance and company policy; EEO

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Cyber Security.
• Knowledge of security aspects of principal Operating Systems.
• Adequate knowledge of cryptographic algorithms (e.g. SHA, AES, CBC, ECB).
• Adequate knowledge of networking models.
• Adequate knowledge of programming languages (in particular Java, C/C++/C#, VB.Net, Python) and their interfaces with principal DBMS, and their development environments.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Italian and English as a minimum.
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• Availability to travel within the Country and abroad.
• Security Certifications: e.g. ISO270001, GIAC, ISA62443, CEH, OSCP, ISACA, ISC2 CISSP.
• Previous VA/PT experience; knowledge of security tools such as Ansible, vulnerability tools, WAF, SIEM, SOAR, EDR.

• Identify security risks within organizations and complex systems/architectures.
• Analyse, draft and review technical documentation pertaining IT and Communication systems.
• Manage changes in documents' versions and systems' configurations.
• Design security measures and provide recommendations to improve security postures.
• Implement technical security measures including hardening of target systems/devices.
• Provide support to Customers in cybersecurity activities.
• Possibly develop code or scripts and configure network devices using automation tools.
• Carry out VA/PT activities as required.
