PALCOMM ITALIA SRL is hiring a Junior Backend Developer to build and maintain the infrastructure behind our digital platforms in Sicilia. With 1+ year of real backend experience, you will ship REST APIs, evolve PostgreSQL data models, and ensure security and performance.

You’ll work closely with the IT team and CTO, using NestJS, Node.js, Redis, Docker, and AWS to deliver reliable services and collaborate on architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional backend development.
• Experience building and consuming real APIs and working with data.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL schemas, queries and data integrity.
• Knowledge of Git and PR workflows in a team setting.
• Experience with Redis and caching, and with Docker/AWS.
• Nice to have Stripe or other payment systems experience.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain REST APIs for web and mobile applications alongside the team.

We are hiring a Junior Backend Developer for the IT team, to help build and maintain the application infrastructure behind the digital platforms.

We want someone with at least one year of experience, who has already worked on real APIs and data and wants to grow alongside more senior developers, close to the team and to the CTO.

Gross salary is between €16k and €21k, based on experience.

We want someone precise, curious and product-oriented, with at least one year on real code, who wants to keep growing: shipping APIs and data, seeing how they affect reliability and performance, and learning, step by step, to take part in the team’s technical choices.

• Knowledge, even early, of a modern backend framework (NestJS preferred).
• Experience with PostgreSQL: queries, data schema and data integrity.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Git and the usual development workflow, including branches and pull requests.
• Care for code quality, basic security and maintainability.
• The will to grow inside a development team, learning from people with more experience.
• Experience with Redis and caching.
• Familiarity with Docker.

• Experience with queues, asynchronous processes and notifications.
