Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales and Leonardo, seeks a Junior Engineer for Attitude and Orbit Control System Design in Rome. You will contribute across the subsystem lifecycle, from feasibility to in-flight activities, and support hardware, control and estimation algorithms.

Candidates will have a Master in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on attitude control, strong English skills, and a proactive, results-oriented mindset. Travel to other sites may be required.

• Master degree in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on attitude control or Control Systems Engineering.
• Fluent in English with excellent listening and reading skills.
• Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving mindset.
• Highly organized and methodical with excellent communication skills; able to manage multiple tasks within a team.
• Strong orientation towards achieving results within given constraints.

Mansioni

• Contribute to all phases of the subsystem lifecycle from feasibility studies to in-flight activities.
• Participate in architecture definition, sizing and technical justification.
• Analyze the attitude perturbations environment.
• Support the specification and technical management of hardware units.
• Design, implement and verify control modes and estimation algorithms.
• Provide support in compiling control system design and analysis reports.
• Support avionics validation across simulation stages on the test bench.
• Model units and configure proprietary design frameworks.
• Assist in monitoring technical procurement of hardware components.
• Support flight operations for in-orbit activities, investigations and data analysis.
• Work primarily in Rome with potential travel to other locations for short or mid-term periods.
