Thales Alenia Space in Rome is seeking a Junior Attitude and Orbit Control System Design Engineer to contribute to the full subsystem lifecycle from feasibility studies to in-flight activities. You will work on architecture sizing, control and estimation algorithms, hardware spec support, and verification through simulations, with opportunities to grow in an international engineering group.

You have graduated with a Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering with a specific focus on attitude control or in Control Systems Engineering. You are fluent in English with excellent listening and reading skills. You have a proactive attitude and a strong problem-solving mindset. You are highly organized and methodical with excellent communication skills. You are able to manage multiple tasks and work effectively within a team. You have a strong orientation towards achieving results within given constraints.
You can master the kinematics and dynamics of rigid bodies with gyroscopic stiffness and flexible appendages. You have a deep understanding of sensors and actuators technology. You are familiar with optimal estimation theory and robust control theory. You are proficient in Matlab, Simulink and C++ programming. You have familiarity with automatic code generation which will be considered an advantage. You have knowledge of space engineering standards which will be considered a plus.
