Domyn is seeking a Junior AI Research Engineer in Milan to bridge research and production for trillion-parameter model scales. You will design and optimize the infrastructure that trains and serves cutting-edge models, collaborating with leading industry labs and deploying solutions in mission-critical environments.

The role emphasizes Python, C++/Rust, and modern ML frameworks, with a focus on latency, throughput, and memory efficiency across a scalable stack. Flexible work options are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in CS/AI or related field.
• Up to 2 years of proven experience as an AI research engineer or in similar roles.
• Hands-on experience with at least one modern ML framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
• Familiarity with distributed training concepts.
• Basic understanding of parallel computing; exposure to CUDA programming is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with ML debugging tools such as TensorBoard and Weights & Biases; exposure to performance profiling tools (NVIDIA Nsight) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with C++ or Rust.
• Solid understanding of mathematics behind deep learning (linear algebra, probability, optimization).
• Exposure to deploying models in production, including optimizing for latency, throughput, and memory efficiency.
