Overview

A Japanese company is recruiting for an in-country Sales Representative and a Sales Manager (Department Head) to operate from Milan. The roles cover wholesale of food and tenant development sales in Italy, with additional management and operations support for directors in Japan.

Main Responsibilities

<Sales Representative>

  • Wholesale and tenant development sales within Italy
  • Market research, business strategy formulation, and proposal of ideas
  • Preparation of sales reports
  • Business trips within Italy and Japan as required

<Sales Manager (Department Head)>

  • Sales activities within Italy
  • Comprehensive management support for the Italian subsidiary office, approximately 30 domestic tenants, and factories
  • Financial management (fundraising, operations, preparing financial statements, financial analysis, budget vs. actual management, balance sheet and profit and loss management)
  • Cash flow management, preparing cash flow statements, achieving annual financial targets
  • Supporting labour and personnel management (recruitment, personnel affairs, payroll management, team building, development and management, employee performance evaluation, resignation procedures)
  • Prevention and resolution of internal issues
  • Goal setting, operational improvement, design and enhancement of business processes, subordinate development and management
  • Market research, business strategy formulation, proposal of ideas
  • Formulation, execution and analysis of company objectives, business strategy and KPIs
  • Implementation and compliance with company policies
  • Reporting company performance and results to the Board of Directors
  • Business travel within Italy and Japan as required
  • Support for resignation procedures
Ideal Candidate

<Sales>

  • Experience in food industry sales preferred (candidates without sales or industry experience but demonstrating strong interest and enthusiasm are welcome)
  • Excellent team management and communication skills
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese, English, and Italian
  • Valid driving licence

<Sales Manager (Director)>

  • Essential: Practical experience in management support or managerial roles within Europe
  • Practical experience in finance, human resources, labour management, and operational management
  • Experience in the food industry is welcome (candidates without experience but with a strong interest and passion for the food industry are also encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent team management and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Japanese, English, and Italian at a business level
  • Driving licence
