Mandarin Oriental, Rome seeks an IT Manager to oversee technology operations, ensuring reliable, secure systems that support guest experiences and hotel operations. You will lead pre-opening IT readiness, coordinate infrastructure deployment, and partner with corporate teams to align with security and regulatory requirements.

You will drive innovation and resilience in a luxury hospitality setting, shaping how technology enhances guest satisfaction and operational excellence across the property.

Competenze

• Experience in IT management within luxury/hospitality environments.

As IT Manager you will oversee technology operations to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient systems that support guest experiences and daily hotel operations. You will maintain Mandarin Oriental standards, assist colleagues, safeguard information assets, and enable seamless technology-enabled experiences across the property. The role includes leading pre-opening IT readiness, coordinating infrastructure deployment, and partnering with corporate teams to align with security and regulatory requirements. You will drive innovation and resilience in a luxury hospitality environment, shaping how technology enhances guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

• Provide first- and second-line IT support for staff and guests
• Coordinate installation, configuration and testing of hotel IT infrastructure
• Ensure systems meet brand standards and opening timelines
• Align with corporate IT standards, policies and procedures
• Standardise systems, cybersecurity protocols and operational processes
• Serve as on-property IT contact for corporate, vendors, and ownership
• Ensure operational resilience and risk mitigation across hotel functions
• Oversee IT projects, upgrades and implementations with minimal disruption
• Manage change requests with testing, documentation, approvals and rollback
• Contribute to pre-opening planning including budgeting and timelines
• Identify opportunities for innovation to enhance guest experiences through technology
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and regulatory requirements (GDPR, PCI DSS)
• Monitor security, manage endpoint protection, and apply patches timely
• Collaborate with corporate IT security on incidents, audits and remediation
• Deliver IT security awareness training to colleagues
• Support disaster recovery, backup management and business continuity planning
• Build strong relationships with operational teams and stakeholders
• Experience managing hotel technology infrastructure and support operations
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and hospitality tech platforms
• Experience with PMS, POS, revenue management interfaces, access control, payment systems, and guest tech solutions
• Proven track record delivering technology projects and system implementations
• Strong analytical and organisational skills in fast-paced environments
• Excellent written/spoken English and Italian
• Genuine passion for technology and creating seamless guest experiences
