Volkswagen Financial Services | Italy is offering a hybrid internship in Milan focused on IT Demand Management & PMO. You will help capture and analyze business requests, support project tracking, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires a Computer Science degree, strong English (C1), and familiarity with cloud topics, AI, and agile methods. The position runs for 6 months with a monthly stipend of €800, plus staff canteen support.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science.
• General knowledge and strong curiosity on Cloud issues and new technological trends, with a focus on AI, vulnerability management, agile methodologies.
• Great speed in learning the business model and the available tools (Microsoft Suite).
• Fluent English (C1 - CEFR level, 7+ IELTS or equivalent).
• Autonomy and flexibility in task management.

Mansioni

• Portfolio reporting: collect information on project progress, coordinate with Project Managers, and prepare status presentations.
• Support in cost reporting events (Planning Round, Forecast, CMIS) using PPM tools and Excel to meet reporting deadlines.
• Create ad-hoc reports on budgets and assist PMs and Business with internal effort management in the PPM tool.
• PMO support to project managers and stakeholders, including training initiatives and alignment with company strategy.
• Assist vulnerability management by monitoring time and costs of action plans with suppliers and product teams.
• Maintain and review PMO processes, designing new tools and automations to improve resource management.

Job description:

The IT Demand Management & PMO Specialist supports the IT Demand Management & PMO Team in ensuring that business requests are captured, analyzed, and managed according to IT governance and prioritization processes. Contributes to the translation of business requirements into projects, initiatives, and IT solutions, supporting project tracking, reporting, and coordination of internal and external stakeholders.

Profile description:

Main Activities:

• Portfolio reporting: activities to collect information relating to the progress status of ongoing projects, includes meetings with Project Managers, fine-tuning of status reports received based on best practices and company practices, support in document management of the PPM platform and in updating the PPM platform; report consolidation and preparation of project portfolio status presentations (weekly and monthly reporting processes)
• Support in cost reporting events (e.g. Planning Round, Forecast, CMIS): use of the tools made available (PPM tool, excel file, etc.) to achieve the company reporting deadlines indicated by the Planning & Control and IT Controlling offices according to the methodologies and standards in use and to present the changes;
• Resource management: support to colleagues in keeping the budget of projects and in the correct management of budget changes in accordance with the internal guideline and with company processes; creation of ad-hoc reports relating to the budget in the different dimensions; support to PMs and the Business in the management of internal effort and the allocation of critical resources within the PPM tool;
• PMO support to project managers and company stakeholders who approach projects, in order to direct them towards the correct management procedures, proactively facilitating their activities, sometimes preparing and carrying out training initiatives; support to the Strategy Officer in aligning the project portfolio with the company strategy; support to the aggregation of information necessary for the performance of external processes (i.e. KPI dashboard,ICS processes, LCM processes)
• Support in vulnerability management: constant monitoring of the time and costs of the action plan with suppliers and product teams to reduce the vulnerabilities of our applications;
• Maintenance and review of PMO processes: design and implementation of new tools, methods and automations to improve and automate resource management;

It is required (mandatory):

• Degree in computer science
• General knowledge and strong curiosity on Cloud issues and new technological trends, with a focus on AI, vulnerability management, agile methodologies
• Great speed in learning the business model and the available tools (Microsoft Suite)
• Fluent English (C1 - CEFR level, 7+ IELTS or equivalent);
• Autonomy and flexibility in task management

You want (optional):

• Experience through university courses in IT or PMO projects (even just university courses)
• Certification in the field of project management and LEAN practices
• Knowledge of PPM tools (Jira and Confluence; Planisware Orchestra or Planta project)
• Interest in the world of financial services and automotive
