E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions Srl is seeking a qualified Controlling professional to join the Finance organization in Italy. You will support forecasting, budgeting, and investment evaluation across an expanding energy portfolio, working with Controlling, Sales, and Business Development to drive profitable growth.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, robust business cases, and clear financial reporting.

Competenze

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Controlling is required.
• Several years of controlling experience, ideally in energy sector and international business environment.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting and controlling processes.

Your Field of Play

• Drive forecasting and business planning: take ownership of quarterly forecasts and medium-term planning activities while closely coordinating with Sales and Business Development to create transparency across the investment pipeline
• Shape investment decisions through business case analysis: evaluate new opportunities, develop robust business cases, identify risks and opportunities, and support authorization processes with data-driven recommendations inspired by acting as brave entrepreneurs
• Turn financial data into actionable insights: analyze deviations versus budget, previous forecasts and prior-year performance, enabling informed decisions and continuous business improvement
• Safeguard project profitability end-to-end: monitor Capex, commodity supply, sales and O&M contracts to ensure expected returns and support delivering exceptional customer outcomes through sustainable value creation
• Steer energy margin and working capital performance: coordinate forecasting, budgeting and month-end activities while partnering with operational and accounting teams to improve financial visibility and results
• Create transparency through meaningful reporting: prepare KPI-based monthly, quarterly and annual reporting while providing ad hoc analyses that support management steering and strategic decisions
• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Controlling: build on a strong academic foundation that enables you to understand complex financial and investment topics
• Several years of controlling experience: bring 3 to 5 years of professional experience, ideally gained in the energy sector and within an international business environment
• Strong expertise in financial reporting and controlling processes: apply financial knowledge confidently to support planning, forecasting, performance management and investment evaluation
• Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail: use facts, figures and structured thinking to solve root causes effectively and support sound business decisions
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills: transform complex data into meaningful analyses, management presentations and decision-ready insights
• SAP CO / SAP PS knowledge: leverage ERP and controlling tools to support efficient financial steering and reporting activities
• Strong communication skills and fluent English: communicate financial insights clearly to stakeholders, build trusted relationships and collaborate confidently in an international environment
