Baker Hughes is offering an Internship for Prototyping and Testing Operational Support in Italy. You will join the Technology Testing Lab (TTL) and work on prototype testing programs, cost control, resource planning, and reporting while collaborating with engineers and cross‑functional teams.

You will be mentored by a buddy and manager, gaining hands‑on experience and exposure to HS&E culture as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives. English fluency is required.

Competenze

  • Pursuing or recently graduated with a related Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills required.
  • Willingness to learn ERP systems such as Oracle.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and Python is a plus.

Mansioni

  • Support day-to-day RDIs management, including Oracle activities and cost monitoring.
  • Assist with resource planning, file management, and weekly reviews.
  • Analyze, extract, and monitor operational costs and prepare reports.
  • Support material replenishment, inventory tracking, and accounting reconciliation.
  • Track project costs vs. budgets and participate in cost review meetings.
  • Provide on-demand support for internal material handling and move orders.

Partner with the best. As a Prototyping and Testing Operational Support Intern, you will support the Technology Testing Lab (TTL) team in operational and administrative activities related to prototype testing programs. You will gain exposure to project cost control, resource planning, materials management, and operational reporting while working closely with engineers, test bench leaders, and cross‑functional teams. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects while developing your professional and technical skills. You will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) and culture of Baker Hughes. as well as our strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the day‑to‑day management of RDIs, including Oracle system activities, data review, adjustments, and weekly monitoring of costs for the Florence and Massa sites.
  • Assisting with resource planning and scheduling activities, maintaining and updating files used for weekly operational reviews.
  • Extracting, analyzing, and monitoring operational costs, preparing periodic reports for test bench leaders and engineering teams.
  • Supporting material replenishment requests, inventory monitoring, stock management, and accounting reconciliation activities.
  • Tracking project costs against estimates and budgets and supporting periodic cost review meetings with technical and operational stakeholders.
  • On‑demand support for internal material handling and/or move orders.
  • On‑demand support for generating dedicated cost reports for critical jobs (e.g., LM9000, HEG, etc.).
  • Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all activities to ensure compliance is maintained.
Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field.
  • Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Have a willingness to learn and use ERP systems such as Oracle.
  • Have familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools; knowledge of Power BI and Python is considered a plus.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Be able to legally work in the country in which you are applying, without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly. The allowance will be established in accordance with criteria related to the candidate’s academic status and their distance from the workplace.
