Newport & Co cerca un M&A Intern per Verona, sei mesi, full-time, retribuito, per lavorare direttamente con il Chief Investment Officer su operazioni di carve-out in Europa.

Ti occuperai di origination, valutazioni, due diligence e supporto all'esecuzione delle operazioni, costruendo modelli finanziari e analisi di investimento.

È richiesta laurea magistrale in corso o recente, esperienza in Investment Banking o attività correlate, e conoscenza fluente di italiano e inglese.

Competenze

• Master in corso o recentemente conseguito in finanza, Economia, Business o ingegneria.
• Esperienza di internship in investment banking, M&A, private equity o consulenza.
• Conoscenza di contabilità, valutazione e principi di M&A.

Mansioni

• Origination e screening di opportunità di carve-out in Europa.
• Costruzione e stress testing di modelli finanziari e valutazioni.
• Supporto due diligence finanziaria, commerciale e operativa.
• Preparazione di analisi d'investimento e materiali per Investment Committee.
• Supporto dall'origination alla firma, incluse perimetri di carve-out e TSAs.

Newport & Co is hiring an M&A Intern in Verona: six months, full-time, paid, working directly with our Chief Investment Officer on acquiring corporate carve-outs across Europe.

• M&A end-to-end: You will be involved in the entire M&A process from origination to the first conversation with a corporate seller through valuation, due diligence, negotiation and deal execution

We acquire non-core businesses with €10–100 million of revenues from mid-sized and large corporates and hold them indefinitely: no fund cycles, no exit clocks, no forced sales. Our team has 80+ years of dealmaking and operating experience and 17 executed carve-outs across all industries behind it.

What you will do

• Source and screen carve-out and divestiture opportunities across Europe
• Build and stress-test financial models and valuations, including working capital, cash conversion and stand-alone cost structures
• Support financial, commercial, operational and separation due diligence, including detailed financial analysis and reclassification
• Prepare investment analyses and Investment Committee materials
• Support execution from sourcing to signing, including carve-out perimeter, TSAs, transaction documents, and Day-1 readiness
• Run sector research and maintain our proprietary deal pipeline and CRM

What we are looking for

• A Master's degree in progress or recently completed in Finance, Economics, Business, Management, Engineering or a related quantitative field, with strong academic results
• Previous internship experience in Investment Banking, M&A, Private Equity, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Audit or Management Consulting, ideally involving financial analysis or valuation
• Strong understanding of accounting, valuation and M&A fundamentals
• Fluent Italian, English and a third language and international academic or professional experience
• Availability to work full-time and on-site in Verona for six months
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career with Newport & Co
• Exposure to industrial businesses, carve-outs or turnaround situations, and effective use of AI tools are advantages.
