Job summary

TNP Italia, based in Milan, is seeking a motivated intern to join our Supply Chain & Operations team for a 6-month curricular internship. You will work on a time and cost analysis project for a leading manufacturing company, spending most of your time on-site at the client’s production plants in Northern Italy.

You will be part of the project team, collecting and analyzing data directly on the production lines, performing time studies, mapping processes, and supporting the calculation of

Qualifications

• Student (Master’s degree) in Industrial or Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other quantitative disciplines available for curricular intership
• Genuine interest in manufacturing, operations and lean / process improvement
• Comfortable spending time on the shop floor and interacting with people at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or similar tools is a plus
• Familiarity with time and methods analysis, lean manufacturing or cost accounting is a plus
• Proactive, organized and able to work with a good level of autonomy
• Fluent in Italian and English
• Driving license and availability to travel to the client’s sites

• Mapping production processes and identifying value-added and non-value-added activities
• Building and maintaining the time and cost database, and checking data quality
• Supporting the calculation of standard times and product cost models
• Analyzing results to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
• Preparing analyses and presentations for project meetings and steering committees
• Working closely with plant managers, production supervisors and operators
