Datalogic is seeking an ICT Infrastructure Specialist to implement and maintain their core Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The role requires collaboration with IT and business teams, focusing on optimizing performance and ensuring the security and reliability of ICT systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields, relevant certifications, and 3+ years of experience in infrastructure management. Fluent English is mandatory, and strong skills in networking and security best practices are required.

Overview

The ICT Infrastructure Specialist reports directly to the ICT Enterprise Infrastructure Architect and is responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization’s core Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure. The role requires close collaboration with IT professionals and business teams to ensure smooth operations, while optimizing infrastructure performance and resolving issues with a high degree of autonomy. Guarantee the availability, security, and reliability of ICT systems that support daily business operations, while enabling scalability, automation, and continuous improvement to support digital transformation and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Implementation & Optimization: Install, configure, and deploy servers, network devices, and storage systems.
• Infrastructure Implementation & Optimization: Support adoption of virtualization and cloud technologies.
• Infrastructure Implementation & Optimization: Optimize infrastructure for performance, security, and scalability.
• Infrastructure Implementation & Optimization: Participate in infrastructure-related projects (e.g., cloud migration, cybersecurity initiatives).
• System Administration & Maintenance: Administer and monitor servers, network devices, and storage systems.
• System Administration & Maintenance: Troubleshoot issues, apply updates, and ensure system stability.
• System Administration & Maintenance: Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• System Administration & Maintenance: Implement proactive monitoring and automation to improve efficiency.
• Technical Support: Provide expert support for infrastructure-related incidents.
• Technical Support: Collaborate with the service desk team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain updated documentation and procedures.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent proven experience).
• Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud) are a plus.
• Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in ICT infrastructure management (networking, systems, or cloud).
• Experience in multinational or technology-driven environments is preferred.
