Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Business Analyst in Milan to analyze data and define detailed requirements for informatics products within the Core Diagnostics Division. You will collaborate with R&D, IT, and business teams to translate needs into actionable designs and test plans.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, 2–3 years of requirements documentation, and fluency in English. Occasional travel to support cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• fluent in English (read/write/speak).
• At least 2–3 years of experience documenting requirements and supporting On Market products.
• At least 2 years of experience defining process workflow diagrams and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert, define detailed requirements and analyze business needs.
• Assess end users workflow and collect feedback during beta sites and product familiarization studies.
• Translate users' business requirements into detailed functional designs for development, testing and implementation.
• Translate business and operational needs into measurable non-functional requirements (performance, security, reliability, scalability, compliance).
• Prepare detailed specifications and related documentation.
• Identify risks and issues impacting business rules and specifications.
• Participate in managing project scope and related changes.
• Assist QA with functional test case reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on feasibility, effort and cost to implement requirements.
• Create and execute user acceptance test plans for software changes and enhancements.
