Job summary

Sidel in Parma, Italy, is seeking a skilled Automation/Industrial Engineer to define testing procedures for Filler equipment and lead automation projects. You will work with Innovation, Engineering, and Production teams to improve testing, quality, and efficiency.

You will apply PLC programming, electrical design and automation tools such as TIA Portal, B&R Automation Studio and EPLAN P8, while collaborating with external partners to drive digital transformation and World Class Manufacturing

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Automation or Electrical Engineering.
Experience or knowledge in PLC programming and electrical design.
Familiarity with automation tools such as TIA Portal, B&R Automation Studio and EPLAN P8.
Programming knowledge in VB, Python, C++, Java or SQLite; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

Define standard work, checklists and testing schedules to meet quality and project targets.
Contribute to product development by shaping strategic solutions that improve final-product quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Lead industrial automation projects, from PLC software to digital twin integration for testing and production optimization.
Use Lean Six Sigma practices to analyze process data and coordinate root-cause actions.
Drive continuous improvement and develop testing tools to reduce cycle time and strengthen quality assurance.
Collaborate with Supply Chain on World Class Manufacturing and digital transformation initiatives.
