Sidel in Parma, Italy, is seeking a Field Commissioning Engineer – Automation to lead deployment, testing and optimization of filling and packaging equipment at customer sites worldwide. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with problem solving and collaboration to support aseptic prototypes and complex machines.

You will perform start-up, commissioning, and on-site service, including RCA troubleshooting and documentation, while ensuring adherence to safety and contractual

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Fluency in Italian and English; French or other languages a plus.
• Experience with cabling and testing complex machinery or field/service activities.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Start up, commissioning, testing and servicing high-complexity fillers.
• Provide on-site technical assistance during and after warranty.
• Troubleshoot on site and perform root-cause analysis (RCA).
• Support in workshop qualification of aseptic prototypes.

Your opportunity

Join Sidel as a Field Commissioning Engineer – Automation and take the lead on deploying, testing, and optimizing some of the company’s most advanced filling and packaging equipment at customer sites worldwide. This hands-on role combines technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration, offering the chance to support aseptic prototypes, troubleshoot complex systems, and directly contribute to innovative automation projects across the organization.

Your Mission

• Start up, commissioning, test and services on Fillers of high complexity;
• Technical assistance onsite during and after warranty period for high complex machines;
• Intervention on site in case of technical issues that require a specific RCA & troubleshooting;
• Improve personal competences on complete combi, trade associated equipment and line equipment;
• Support in the workshop for internal qualification of Aseptic prototypes (run-off, assembly, test);
• Support onsite for external qualification of technical modifications and variants;
• Responsible of equipment performances at customer plant, based on technical, contractual and safety specifications.

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Technical professional qualification;
• Fluency in Italian and in English is a must-have, a good level of French or other languages, is a plus;
• Experience in cabling and testing of complex machinery or field and service activities or technical assistance would be an advantage;
• Deep knowledge of automation devices (PLC, HMI devices focused on the motion control of the main brands as Allen Bradley, Elau/Schneider Electrics, B&R and Siemens) and communication networks;
• Capable to manage stressful situations;
• Organized, able to conceptualize ideas into professional reports;
• Attitude to problem solving (trouble shooting and RCA) and Customer oriented;
• Good Interpersonal skills, especially ability to communicate with different target groups (technicians, customers, etc.);
