Job summary

Sidel in Mantova, Italy, is seeking an Automation Tester to join the assembly and testing of labelling machines at the Mantua plant. You will bridge assembly and testing, ensuring machines meet technical, contractual and safety specs while contributing to quality improvements.

You will work with safety rules, lean improvements, and 5S principles, reporting to the Head of Assembly Operator. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Technical background and interest in machine assembly and testing.
• Proficient in MS Office and Outlook; SAP and Lean knowledge a plus.
• Written and spoken English skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, sharing information methodically.
• Curiosity, safety awareness and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% of time.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test machines at the Sidel plant following safety rules.
• Perform activities according to work instructions and routings, meeting quality requirements.
• Identify deviations from standard times, propose corrective actions.
• Complete control cards, tracking forms and final testing reports.
• Contribute to process improvements using Lean methodology and 5S.
• Keep workspace clean and organized following 5S.

Your Mission

As an Automation Tester, you’ll join the assembly and testing activities for labelling machines at our Mantua plant, reporting to the Head of Assembly Operator. You’ll be a bridge-builder between assembly and testing, helping ensure that machines meet technical, contractual and safety specifications while contributing to quality and continuous improvement.

Your Missions

• Assemble and test machines at the Sidel plant, following defined safety rules and standards.
• Perform activities according to work instructions and routings, meeting quality requirements within the available time.
• Identify deviations from standard times, highlight their causes and propose corrective actions.
• Complete control cards, activity tracking forms and final testing reports accurately.
• Contribute to process improvements using Lean methodology, and raise any safety concerns or opportunities for improvement.
• Keep your workplace clean and organized by applying the 5S methodology.

Your Profile

• A technical educational background and an interest in machine assembly and testing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook; knowledge of SAP and Lean methodology is a plus.
• Written and spoken English skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing information and approaching problems methodically.
• Curiosity, attention to safety and a willingness to learn and improve.
• Availability for international travel up to 20% of working time.
