BEKO Europe invites a motivated Industrial Engineering master's student to join the Central Innovation Team at our Cassinetta (VA) plant for a 6-month internship. You will work on vision systems, contribute to Use Cases in X-Lab, and help define technical specs and validation processes for new visual inspection equipment.

Under guidance of the Senior Engineering Manager, you will support digitalization projects, supplier sourcing activities, and the development of business cases to optimize

Competenze

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in engineering, preferably Automation, Computer, Electronics, Mechanical or Management.
• Interest in automation, AI and machine vision; ability to apply learning to practical projects.
• Proficient in Python programming and Excel; strong analytical approach.

As an Industrial Engineer intern, you will join the Central Innovation Team based in our plant in Cassinetta (VA), reporting directly to the Senior Engineering Manager.

You will have practical experience mainly focused on vision systems and the opportunity to closely deal with an innovative and dynamic work philosophy. You will also contribute to the Use Cases definition and development inside our innovation laboratory – X-Lab – based in Cassinetta site.

Your responsibilities will include

• Assist in defining technical specifications and validation processes for new visual inspection equipment, while supporting offer evaluations and participating in supplier sourcing and selection activities if needed by the project.
• Support the preparation and development of business cases for the optimization of industrial processes.
• Participate in and contribute to machine vision projects under the guidance of the project team and manager, with the opportunity to develop customized logic to industrialize tailormade solutions.
• Assist in the definition and implementation of digitalization and innovation projects.
• Support the definition of visual technologies footprint database.
• Support in the definition of X-Lab innovation Laboratory roadmap and in its use case prioritization.
• Currently studying in a master's degree in engineering – preferably in Automation, Computer, Electronics, Mechanical or Management Engineering, with interest in automation, AI and machine vision.
• Languages: proficient Italian and English speaker.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good Knowledge in coding with a preference for Python.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, structured environment.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across departments.
