Wood is seeking a Subcontracts Manager for its Projects – Process and Chemical Team in Italy. The role is based in Corsico (Milan) with hybrid work up to two days per week.

You will lead the Subcontracting team, shape subcontract plans, and manage bid processes for complex chemical, petrochemical, and energy projects. The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in engineering, bring 10+ years of on-site subcontracting experience, and demonstrate strong leadership, negotiation, and

Competenze

• Master's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in subcontracts selection and administration on site.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills to lead subcontracting teams.
• Full knowledge of EPC contracting methodology for construction subcontracts.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to relocate/move for site assignments.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Mansioni

• Manage the Subcontracting team assigned to one or more projects.
• Define the Project Subcontracting plan and strategy.
• Define project subcontracting procedures and administration procedures.
• Prequalify Construction Contractors.
• Define bidder lists for inquiries and prepare tender documentation.
• Lead technical & commercial clarification meetings with bidders.
• Lead negotiations with shortlisted bidders.
• Prepare final bid tabulation and awards recommendations.
• Prepare Letter of Award and contract; ensure timely expediting of acceptance.
• Assist on-site subcontract administration during construction and close-out.
