ABB Smart Buildings in Italy seeks a Procurement Engineer/Project Buyer to interface with R&D and Engineering, translating engineering requests into procurement requirements and driving supplier selection. You will manage prototype parts orders, participate in procurement gate meetings, estimate costs and quality, and optimize costs across development stages.

Applicants should have 5+ years in NPD procurement, SAP Ariba proficiency, and a degree in Engineering; Italian and English communication

Competenze

• Should-cost modeling and value chain analysis experience.
• Experience with supplier development and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Engineering background with strong technical base and PM awareness.
• Proficiency with SAP/SAP Ariba or equivalent ERP systems; PLM usage.
• Fluent Italian and English for international interactions.

Mansioni

• Interface between Procurement, Engineering and R&D to drive procurement knowledge into development.
• Order and ensure on-time delivery of prototype parts with suppliers.
• Lead procurement gate activities and maintain project procurement documents.
