ABYLSEN, the engineering consultancy within HOUSE OF ABY Group, seeks a Hybrid Powertrain Engineer to develop control strategies for hybrid powertrains in Turin, Italy. The role requires hands-on experience with P0/P1/P4 architectures, MATLAB/Simulink, ECU software development, and fluent English.

Based in Turin, the position offers a permanent contract with a hybrid work arrangement (1 day per week smartworking) and exposure to calibration and validation across international projects.

Competenze

• Engineering degree in Automotive/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic or similar.
• Experience in Automotive Control Systems / Hybrid Powertrain.
• Hands-on experience with P0, P1 and/or P4 architectures.
• Good knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with ECUs and C/Python.
• Experience in System/Function Development, Software Development, Calibration or Validation.
• Fluent English and strong problem-solving skills.

We are looking for an Hybrid Powertrain Engineer with hands-on experience in P0, P1 and/or P4 hybrid architectures. This is the key requirement for the role.

Main activities:

• Develop control strategies and functions for hybrid powertrain systems.
• Work on System/Function Development, from requirements to implementation and validation.
• Develop and test models using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Support ECU and software development, including C/Python activities.
• Contribute to calibration, testing and validation of powertrain control functions.
• Work on Range Extender (REX) and hybrid powertrain projects.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering or similar.
• Previous experience in Automotive Control Systems / Hybrid Powertrain.
• Hands-on experience with P0, P1 and/or P4 architectures is essential.
• Good knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with ECUs and C/Python.
